Who we are.

STUDIO K∆NK∆N is a young architecture office based in Frankfurt and Berlin. Through our network of interior- and product- designers we are able to capture big ideas and to develop your project from the first draft until completion. Our ambition is to create
 unique works that always reflect our client’s identity.

New design for an apartment in buzzing Berlin: Mitte. A white-waxed oak parquet floor interlinks all rooms and extends the spatial atmosphere. Historic doors from other places have been added.

Feasibility study for a listed three-side yard building in traditional timber frame construction containing a new public and private concept of use.
5 Hector_Leuchte
Hector is the big brother of our concrete base lights-series.
Hector is the big brother of our concrete base lights-series. A huge coal fibre light bulb creates a warm light atmosphere. Hector is dimmable and is equipped with an elegant textile cable.

Montez is the little sister of our concrete base lights-series.
Montez is the little sister of our concrete base lights-series. A huge, top mirrored light bulb creates dazzle-free light and makes it easy to put the light anywhere. Montez is available with textile cables in various colours.

New design for an apartment in buzzing Berlin: Mitte. The implementation of a historic two-wing door is the significant new element that opens up the place and connects all rooms over a light corridor.

Jens Bayer
Freelance architect and founder STUDIO K∆NK∆N

Before founding Studio K∆NK∆N, Jens has gained many years professional planning and project experience. Essential years he has spent with schneider + schumacher in Frankfurt. He has worked on large scale projects for housing and office, with clients coming from international banking and insurance.
He has studied architecture and urban design in Frankfurt, Berlin, Amsterdam and Shanghai.
